2025 SC Mini Meets

SERIES DOCUMENTS: 

ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

  1. The pool will be opened from 0800hrs for warm up, please follow the lane rules for warm up. 
  2. Manager’s meeting: 08.15am 
  3. Technical officials briefing: 08.30am 
  4. Each Club participating is required to provide 2 volunteers. A list of volunteer’s names should be submitted with the Entries. Option for clubs to pay rather than put in officials for timekeeping duties during competition. $50/timekeeper per day. 
  5. Electronic entries only will be accepted. 
  6. Entries for Mini Meets must be submitted no later than 6.00pm on the; 
    • 10th January 2025 Meet One: Events 1-12 
    • 7th February 2025 Meet Two: Events 13-24 
    • 7th March 2025 Meet Three: Events 25-36 
  7. Entries received after these dates will not be accepted. 
  8. Entries should be submitted to admin@fijiaquatics.com and copied to tiacheer@yahoo.com 
  9. Cost per event is $5.00. Payments can be deposited into; “Amateur Association of Fiji Swimming”, Westpac Banking Corp, Suva, Account # 41752500
    • Early Bird Special – 10% discount to clubs who pay 7 days prior to start of competition obviously there may be changes etc after entries go in, but if they’ve cleared all fees as calculated by TM in their entries, 10% discount 
    • Any outstanding fines or fees left unpaid after competition is complete will incur an additional fee of $100 per week per club this is left outstanding. 
  10. Club Managers must ensure all their swimmers hold current registration with Fiji Swimming – registration and payment or registration fee to be completed no later than 7 days prior to entries closing to allow registration number to be issued. Entries for swimmers without a valid Fiji Swimming registration number will not be accepted. 
  11. Psych sheets will be posted on the Fiji Swimming website, or you can access it on Meet Mobile, 3 working days before the start of the competition for verification. No changes will be accepted but corrections can be done if the error is on our part. Amendments to the program may be necessary depending on the number of entries received for each event. 

LOCAL COMPETITION RULES OF THE DAY:

  1. Swimmers are not permitted to swim in place of another swimmer. To do so will result in automatic disqualification of both swimmers from the competition. 
  2. Events will be swum as MIXED OPEN events, with athletes seeded to ensure they swim the best possible time. It is in your swimmer’s interests to submit an entry time. 
  3. Withdrawals will be accepted from the Team Manager at the Manager’s meeting on the day of the Meet, as long as it is signed by the Team Manager and accompanied by a medical certificate or if due to sudden illness at the referee’s discretion.
    • Scratches / No Shows and Withdrawals without a medical certificate will incur a fee of $20 per event. 
    • Once a swimmer SCRATCHES / NO SHOWS for an event he/she will NOT be allowed to swim their remaining events on the day unless their fine of $20.00 have been paid to Fiji Swimming
  4. In the case of any disputes, World Aquatics rules will apply. 
  5. Club Managers only are permitted in the control room and are to be relied upon for all communication to/from clubs. 
  6. Entries fees must be settled in full, by the entry deadline or club’s entries will not be accepted. It is the responsibility of club managers to ensure fees are settled within the timeframe. Entries without entry times will not be accepted, the exception being first-time swimmers in a particular event. Please ensure all swimmers’ details are included including DOB, entry time, Fiji Swimming registration number. 
  7. These are self Marshalled events and swimmers need to be at the starting blocks 2 heats prior to their event. Running to the blocks at the last minute will not be accepted and will result in a disqualification. 
  8. No Long Course conversions. 
  9. Age is determined as of 31st December 2025.
