2026 SC Grand Prix Series

  1. Clubs are required to provide their own First Aid Kits.
  2. The pool will be opened from 0700hrs. To avoid congestion in the pool and to allow clubs quality warm-up time, lanes will be allocated according to Team size.
  3. Manager’s meeting: 08.30
  4. Technical officials briefing: 08.45
  5. Each Club is required to provide 3 volunteers. A list of volunteers should be submitted with Entry Form.
  6. Electronic entries only will be accepted.
  7. Entries for Grand Prix Series must be submitted no later than 6.00pm on;
    • 3rd July 2026 Meet One: Events 1-12
    • 31st July 2026 Meet Two: Events 13-24
    • 28th August 2026 Meet Three: Events 25-36
    • Entries received after these dates will not be accepted.

  9. Cost per event is $10.00. Payments can be deposited into; “Amateur Association of Fiji Swimming”, Westpac Banking Corp, Suva, Account # 41752500
  10. Club Managers must ensure all their swimmers hold current registration with Fiji Swimming – registration and payment or registration fee to be completed no later than 7 days prior to entries closing to allow registration number to be issued. Entries for swimmers without a valid Fiji Swimming registration number will not be accepted.
  11. Psych sheets will be posted on the Fiji Swimming web page or on Meet Mobile, 2 working days before the start of the competition for verification. No changes will be accepted but corrections can be done if the error is on our part. Amendments to the program may be necessary depending on the number of entries received for each event.

LOCAL COMPETITION RULES OF THE DAY:

  1. Swimmers are not permitted to swim in place of another swimmer. To do so will result in automatic disqualification of both swimmers from the competition.
  2. A maximum of 6 events per swimmer per Grand Prix.
  3. Events will be swum as MIXED OPEN events, with athletes seeded to ensure they swim the best possible time. It is in your swimmer’s interests to submit an entry time.
  4. Withdrawals will be accepted from the Team Manager at the Manager’s meeting on the day of competition, as long as it is signed by the Team Manager and accompanied by a medical certificate or if due to sudden illness at the referee’s discretion.
    • Scratches / No Shows and Withdrawals without a medical certificate on the day will incur a fee of $30.00 per event. Entry fees paid will not be carried forward.
    • Once a swimmer SCRATCHES / NO SHOWS for an event he/she will NOT be allowed to swim their remaining events on the day unless their fine of $30.00 have been paid to Fiji Swimming and a copy of receipt presented to the Meet Director.
  5. It is recommended that swimmers wear a swimming cap. Swimwear for men shall not extend above the navel nor below the knee, and for women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor shall extend below knee. All swimsuits shall be made from textile materials (BL 8.3)
  6. In the case of any disputes, World Aquatics rules will apply.
  7. Club Managers only are permitted in the control room and are to be relied upon for all communication to/from clubs.
  8. Entry fees must be settled in full, by the entry deadline or club’s entries will not be accepted. It is the responsibility of club managers to ensure fees are settled within the timeframe. Entries without entry times will not be accepted, the exception being first-time swimmers in a particular event. Please ensure all swimmers’ details are included including DOB, entry time, Fiji Swimming registration number.
  9. Swimmers are required to report to the starting blocks 2 heats in advance of their event. There will be no marshalling.
  10. No Long Course conversions.
  11. Age is determined as at 4th October 2025. Some swimmers will be competing up an age group in competitions held early in the series.
  12. Protests must be lodged to the Meet Director in writing within 30mins following the conclusion of the respective event. Protests must be accompanied by a $150.00 non-refundable fee. A Jury of Appeal will be responsible for attending to rejections of protests.
  13. All protests must be relayed through their team managers and no parents or coaches are allowed to disturb the officials.
