The 2024 Fiji Swimming Competition Season kicked off on Saturday 3rd February at the newly refurbished Damodar City Aquatic Center with the 2024 Long Course Grand Prix 1.
There was much anticipation and excitement in the air as the Suva weather held up after. However that excitement did not stem from the first competition of the season but from the fact that competitions would now be held at the “new look” Aquatic Center.
In attendance was 130 swimmers from the 6 different clubs around Fiji. Of that 6, 2 clubs are from Lautoka, 1 from Nadi and 3 from Suva.
The competition was used as a season opener coming off of a short off-season following the 2023 Pacific Games.
Pacific Games gold medalist Kelera Mudunasoko and other 2023 Pacific Games swimmer were also in attendance.
